I mill a lot large hardwoods mostly into slabs, I use a stihl ms660 have a few different sized bars, 42" is the largest bar I run, with the mill jig attached it can mill a 36in slab . Expect to lose 6 inches of cutting length with the mill jig attached. The ms660 is 90cc and cuts slabs under 24" pretty good, larger logs really work the saw hard.
